Divorce & Estate Appraisal

What’s included?

  • A complete appraisal report listing the market value at a specific point in time

  • If you need our appraiser to testify at a court hearing or mediation, we will be there to support you at a rate of $350/hr (including travel and/or out-of-court prep time)

  • In many divorces, the home is the most valuable asset with co-ownership.  You may be feeling vulnerable and overwhelmed, so finding someone trustworthy and knowledgeable to help with valuation can bring peace of mind.

  • The timeline for conducting the appraisal on an estate varies depending on local laws and your individual situation. Some states have set deadlines for when it has to be done, while in others probate courts determine a timeline on a case-by-case basis.  Hiring a professional appraiser to analyze your situation and understand the specific valuation timeline is incredibly important because there can be so much variability in these cases.

  • This is the tax charged on the value (usually the net value) of an estate of a deceased person before distributing funds and assets to heirs. The IRS will likely require an appraisal to help determine this value.  It is important to hire someone that you trust.
